SuperDXC, as the series timeslots convergence device, approaches the resolution of complex and flexible redeployment of E1 transmission and timeslots.

With embedded control and manintenance unit, not only the equipment but also the input E1s are in monitoring window. It supply the carrier to save network resource in transmission section and realize optimization functionality of E1 circuits.


Arbitari timeslots switching from input 32-256 2M signals to 16-24 2M signals output.

The equipment supports switching not only E1 but also on timeslots levels. Up to 8192x2048 timeslots switching capacity can be reached by configuring inner switch matrix accordance with network resource requirements. Cascade connection method can be implemented to increase convergence extension and scale. Output is standard 2M signals. Collecting-and-distributing functions can duplicate arbitary input timeslots into arbitary multiple output timeslots in any 2M E1 output.

Sophisticated resistance adaptation for transmission or non-intrusive network test

Input port can be connected directly with lines due to 0~-43dB gain obtained at input terminal in the device configured. The transmission distance from output terminal of DDF in machine room to SuperDXC is 0-2Km for general applications like transmission, or 200m-transmission distance for a high impedance (>2K ohms) at input terminal as access brige for non-intrusive electric connection.

Real-time monitoring of real-time/historical inquiry of physical status of E1 Interface

Remote control function log and display LOS, LOF, RDI, AIS alarms and CRC4, E-bit and FAS error bit events (LOS-loss of signals, LOF-loss of frame, RDI-remote alarm, AIS-reception of alarm indicator and CRC4-frame check code) in real tme via E1 links, RS232 serial ports, 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet port.

The messages of E1 status are carried on timeslot 31 of a specific output E1 to control center with bit occupation as follow :

CH31 Bit 7 Bit 86 Bit 5 Bit 4 Bit 3 Bit 2 Bit 1 Bit 0

The equipment also supports detecting PRBS and CRC4 on input E1, whereas it can generate PRBS code for diagnosis and assessment of E1 line status.

Multiple clock synchronization modes

The equipment's working clock is derived optionally :
1. from synchronization clock of any input E1
2. from synchronization clock of the dedicated controlling E1
3. from synchronization clock of dedicated clock E1
4. from clock input at TTL level clock port
5. from local crystal oscillator

Hot-snap and dual power supply

I/O card hot snap can be carried out in accordance with Compact PCI hot-snap specification with dual power supply.

Remote software upgrade

The equipment configuration and operation software can be remotely upgraded via control port. All operation, including deleting old configuration, dowloading new package and activation the generation, is implemented via the data connection between the control center and DXC itself.

Equipment self-maintenance function

Real-time self-maintenance function for monitoring working conditions, such as the cabinet temperature, status and rotational speed of fans, power voltage. Passing the status information to the control center is automatically. The control center can command the working status of whole equipment.

Globally Integrated Equipment (RMS2D/E)

The equipment has its control ports and carries out its remote control via 2M link, RS232 serial ports or 10/100BASE-T Ethernet ports. The equipment front panel has status lamps indicating in real time LOS, LOF, RDI, AIS alarms and CRC4, E-bit, FAS error bit event occurrence (LOS-loss of signals, LOF-loss of frame, RDI-remote alarm indication, AIS-reception of alarm indication signal, CRC4-frame check code).

Modular Expansive Equipment (RMS2F)

  • Modularization-designed equipment I/O interface board. Each interface board supports input 64x2M with up to 4 interface boards in one cabinet.
  • Maximal system capacity is 256 x 2.048 Mbit/s unidirectional input interfaces and 64x2.048Mbit/s unidirectional output interfaces with 8192x4096 single grade non-blocking timeslot cross connect matrixes.

Equipment Control Management
The local configuration management is carried out via rear panel RS232 serial port line and the computer with DXC configuration management software without any auxiliary hardware required. The local configuration management can also be carried out via RS422 port and special hardware control card and computer with configuration management software.

The remote centralized management of DXC equipment is implemented bia DXC control management system. DXC equipment receives the instructions from DXC configuration management system via 2M control port for on-line timeslot adjustment and configration. Its performance data and configration messages transmitted through 2M 31st timeslot support DXC centralized configuration management and status monitoring. One set of DXC configuration management system can at maximum manage 65536 set of DXC equipments.

Besides, SuperDXC control&management system can either become an independent system or render seamless integration with the monitoring system.

Typical Application

  • Applied in no.7 signaling centralized monitoring system as signal timeslots concentrator to save the signal monitoring front-end equipment.
  • Applied in transmission department for real-time monitoring and counting of 2M line signaling alarms, detecting error messages and enquiring a historical alarm log.
